We continue our look at Jacob as the focus narrows to the most critical juncture in this man’s life. What Jacob has made himself to be through decades of practice is now being rapidly disassembled. He finds himself alone at night next to the stream Jabbock (“Emptying”) with nothing left to do but wait for the anticipated judgment through his arriving brother.
