Matters of the Heart-Coherence

Genesis 27:18-29

Last time we introduced the idea of the heart organ within our bodies may be more than a pump. Although this function is extremely important what we are suggesting is that what the ancients have believed and the Biblical language supports is an intelligence residing within the heart itself. Some would say, “Well the Biblical writers were merely expressing from their limited scientific perspective, a language of appearance much like we say, “the sun is setting.” But could we ponder this a bit? Could there actually be something more here? Could it be that in some regard science is catching up to what the Biblical authors expressed centuries ago? “Guard you heart, for out of it flows the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23. This is fun.
