What’s My Worth
Genesis 27:14-17
The message was clear as Jacob nervously anticipated the next few moments with dad. He must have thought “for me to get dad’s blessing here I need to put on a really good act, I need to be my brother. It’s show-time!” Thus the unfortunate reality that has permeated human relationships since Adam ate of the apple. Again, the message is clear, “for me to be valued I must be like someone else.” So dress-up begins while who we really are, who God has made us to be, lies dormant, covered up under layers and layers of another’s clothes.
