Genesis 35:22 “What Growth Looks Like, part 9”

 

A major growth step takes place in one’s life when he or she is able to, as we call it, “embrace the negative.” In our model, this is indicative of stage four. Once this occurs I am able for the first time to face “the me” that I have worked so long and so hard to create. This soul work is far from easy because I have so much to unlearn, rather to let go. Prior to this stage I have spent my energy building and protecting. But it is at stage five where I will learn what it means in the practical day to day sense to let go. For most, it takes a while to “get it.” But please know our Loving God is in no hurry. It takes what it takes. His amazing grace is always present.
