Hi All,
As we close another year, I find myself filled with gratitude, deep, settled gratitude for the journey we’ve shared. It’s been twenty years since that first group of fathers and sons stepped into the Colorado mountains together, not knowing what would grow from those early ventures. Yet here we are, two decades later, with many of our friendships still intact and new ones forming each season. That gift alone feels worth pausing over.
Christ in the Rockies has always been more than outdoor adventures. It has become a community shaped by honest conversation, shared experiences, and the quiet ways God meets us in creation. Whether on a riverbank, a mountain bike trail, or around an evening table, something meaningful seems to happen when men slow down and show up. Our role has simply been to “set the table” and let the goodness unfold.
As I look toward 2026, I find myself at an intersection. Some physical limitations have made me wonder what our offerings will look like in the coming year. We’re still listening, discerning, and working toward clarity.
What I do know is that the heart of this ministry remains steady. I’ll continue writing and creating resources for our community, and we remain committed to providing adventures, outdoor time, reflection, and conversation, in forms that are wise and sustainable.
We’ll share details as soon as plans are set. For now, I want to say thank you. To those who have supported us financially across the years, your generosity has made these gatherings possible. And if you feel led to invest in CITR as we enter a new season, please know your support is both welcomed and truly appreciated.
Twenty years in, I’m grateful, grateful for the relationships, the journey, and each of you who make this work what it is.
So, here’s to whatever good awaits us in 2026. 🥂
