In session 213, the Moot Men examine verse 11 in chapter 17 which I have entitled “Preparation for what next.” The what next is human mortality. Here Jesus is preparing for and showing us how to think about death, our own death.
In session 212, the Moot Men consider the scope of what Jesus is praying about to His Heavenly Father. Nestled within chapter 17 these two verses suggest the expansiveness of God’s intent, the projected role of the disciples and the target audience.
